# W3 LAB — Wuliang Method · Generative Mathematics · Stereo Matrix Theory > W3 LAB (Changsha, Hunan, China) is initiated by **Central South University** and **Hunan Digital Application Technology Co., Ltd.**, jointly built with mathematicians and AI algorithm engineers from **Hunan University** and **Xiangtan University**. Research covers the **SW Structural Worldview**, **Generative Mathematics (GM)**, **complex-systems algorithms**, and **trustworthy AI**. Lead: Wu Liang (吴靓, ORCID 0009-0006-9694-5739) — former faculty member of the Institute of Intelligent Systems, Central South University (supervisor: Prof. Qinghua He), currently Chief Scientist at Hunan Digital Application Technology Co., Ltd. Its preprints are open access on Zenodo under DOIs. Three research programs (28 preprints): **Wuliang Method** + **Generative Mathematics** + **Stereo Matrix Theory (SM)** — the latter being the **general mathematical language for open complex systems with arbitrary-order coupling**: under the SW Structural Worldview, the Wuliang Method and Generative Mathematics grow the stereo matrix, giving modeling, analysis and computation a single unified language. Two original research lines: the **Wuliang Method** (无量方法) — a computable, constructible, falsifiable emergence criterion via homotopy cofibers — and **Generative Mathematics** (生长式数学) — automatic growth of mathematical theories with a "construction as proof" paradigm. **Level 0 — SW Structural Worldview (SW 结构世界观)**: the world has an **a priori, static, high-dimensional rule-network structure**; observation only takes low-dimensional samples of it and does not create it — the aim of research is to *read out* a structure that is already there, not to invent laws. On that foundation the site is one chain across three levels: **Level I — Method** (how theories are built: Wuliang Method + GM, 12 preprints) → **Level II — Language** (what the world is written in: Stereo Matrix Theory, 16 preprints incl. the six-domain open-complex-systems validation) → **Level III — Criteria** (where claims are falsified: six pre-registered domains, emergent/self-organization/chaos/phase-transition given one structural definition each). Official site: https://w3-lab.cn Author: Wu Liang (吴靓) — https://orcid.org/0009-0006-9694-5739 Contact: w3-lab-pub@outlook.com Community index (Gitee): https://gitee.com/w3-lab/w3lab-papers Navigation on the site uses **Levels** (Level 0 = the SW Structural Worldview axiom; Level I = Method; Level II = Language; Level III = Criteria). The paper index below keeps the original **Series** numbering; the mapping is: **Level I = Series I–III** (P1–P12), **Level II = Series IV** (SM-01–16), **Level III = Series V** (立-10–15). ## Topic Pages / 专题页 Index: [Topics / 专题索引](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/index.html) — five topic pages organized by reader questions, chained prev→next; each auto-generates paper cards with DOIs from the publication registry. - [Emergence: can it be computed? / 涌现能不能算](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/emergence.html): the computable emergence criterion (homotopy cofiber vs assembly prediction), falsifiability via two mechanism-free domains, and the AI applications (constructive intelligence, non-escape control). - [How mathematics grows / 数学怎么被生长](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/generative-math.html): construction-as-proof, the L0–L6 structure tower, closed-form proof-length D(n) for the pigeonhole principle with full machine verification, and the ZFC/constructive bridge. - [From theorem to tape-out / 从定理到流片](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/bilinear-hardware.html): the structural hole in LEC for AI-discovered algorithms, the five-layer tape-out-readiness protocol, the zero-cooperation audit of the rank-48 RTL (two unknown defects), and deployment pricing. - [What is a stereo matrix? / 立体矩阵是什么](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/sm-foundations.html): the tensor-as-object move, irreducibility of ternary coupling, the 143,930-class full spectrum, 6.98-step reduction, and the Φ direct-sum theorem (classical matrix theory as a cross-section). - [Six-domain validation / 六领域验证](https://w3-lab.cn/topics/complex-systems.html): pre-registered falsifiable tests across six domains (87.5% closure, 26/26, 200/200, 198/198; misses logged), unified structural definitions of emergence/self-organization/chaos/phase transition, and the τ / Ramanujan correspondences with stated boundaries. ## Ask the Papers (RAG, live) / 论文问答(检索增强) - [Ask / 问论文](https://w3-lab.cn/ask.html): retrieval-augmented QA over the published preprints. Retrieval runs server-side over original-text chunks; the answer is generated only from retrieved passages and must cite `[SM-03 §2]` / `[P1 §3]`; when the passages are insufficient the service explicitly answers "not covered in the papers". - API: `POST https://w3-lab.cn/api/ask` with `{"q": "..."}` → `{answer, sources:[{paper, section, doi, score, excerpt}]}`. Rate limit 6 req/min/IP. Unpublished manuscripts (SMT series, SM-17, handbooks) are refused at the edge and are not in the corpus. ## Q&A / 问答库 - [Static Q&A library / 论文问答库](https://w3-lab.cn/qa.html): 41 curated questions with answers strictly grounded in the papers, each with paper-number and DOI citations (FAQPage structured data included). ## Series I — Wuliang Method (无量方法) - [Finiteness and Hierarchical Structure of Open Systems: A Computable Emergence Criterion via the Wuliang Method](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.22682819): Openness forces hierarchy, hierarchy forces bounded information, and boundedness makes formalization possible. Defines emergence as the irreducible part of a hierarchical jump beyond assembly prediction, computed layer-wise via the homotopy cofiber of a comparison map. Computable, constructible, falsifiable; closed systems are the degenerate zero-flux case. The classical/constructive divide is rooted in non-commutativity, not the law of excluded middle; within Generative Mathematics non-commutativity is encoded as non-vanishing curvature, and curvature together with compactness and isotropy closes growth paths — closure means boundedness. ZFC appears as the commutative degenerate case; structural correspondences with Bishop's constructive analysis, Sambin's formal topology, topos theory, homotopy type theory, and reverse mathematics.
